It reflects a fundamental distinction between a&nbsp;<strong>flow<\/strong>&nbsp;the vehicles sold during a given year and a&nbsp;<strong>stock<\/strong> all the vehicles accumulated over decades that may prefer to delay a decision they see as risky particularly when it comes to future resale value, access to charging infrastructure or changes in regulation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Greece, where the average car is more than&nbsp;<strong>17 years old<\/strong>, also illustrates the close relationship between national purchasing power and the ability of households to renew their vehicles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The paradox: the older the car, the more it can cost<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keeping a vehicle for
